It’s no secret that I’m a huge college football fan and when the season ends, I usually go through CFB withdrawals. I can only watch my archives so many times, so sometimes, I turn to ESPN Classic in the hopes I’ll find a good college football game. But instead, I get the same “classic” games over and over again.
If I see one more replay of Notre Dame vs. Michigan, I’m going to break my TV – well, not really. I’ll probably just change the channel and wish I had the money to break my TV and buy a new one.
Seriously, there are more than 300 college football teams in this country and more than 3,000 games played each year. Surely ESPN can play games that involve teams other than Notre Dame and Michigan. How about any of the great Virginia Tech vs. Miami games during the last 10 years. What about Tech’s great 1995 comeback at UVA? I’d even watch the first three quarters of the 2000 National Championship game between Tech and FSU.
College football has a rich history, I’ll admit, but there’s more to it than the Irish and Wolverines.
