Last night, Donna, Nic and I went to Awful Arthur’s in Salem, Virginia, to have dinner with some friends from work. I thought Awful Arthur’s would be fine for Nic because he can pretty much eat anything now. But, when we got there, it was a completely different story.
They don’t have a kids’ menu, milk, lemonade, or anything most 2-year-olds would eat like hot dogs, mac and cheese, grilled cheese. So, we fed Nic french fries, mashed potatoes and hush puppies. After that experience, we definitely won’t go back there with Nic.
Awful Arthur’s is more of a bar experience. Their menu is overpriced and the food is average at best, certainly not worth the cost. The service was good, but not good enough to bring us back for a meal … drinks and pool, yes.
