Virginia Tech Golfer Wins British Amateur Championship

For the first time since 1979, an American golfer won the British Amateur Championship. Drew Weaver, a rising junior at Virginia Tech defeated Tim Stewart of Australia, 2 & 1 and won the 2007 British Amateur Championship, played at Royal Lytham & St. Annes in Lancashire, England.
