Just when I thought that maybe the Roanoke Times‘ sports writer Mark Berman might have been emerging from Seth Greenberg’s dog house, Seth went and slammed the door in his face during Monday’s weekly ACC coaches conference call.
For those not familiar with the ongoing feud between Berman and Greenberg, here are recaps of Round 1 and Round 2.
Here’s a transcript of Monday’s exchange, which was considerably more testy than the previous week’s:
Narrator: The next question comes from Mark Berman of the Roanoke Times…
Berman: Hey Coach-
Greenberg: “Everyone’s excited that you’re on here, Mark – Just wanted you to know that…”
Berman: You’re lost three in a row -
Greenberg: “Really? You got a score card?”
And there was an obvious venom in Greenberg’s voice, most likely because of the three-game losing streak and the fact that his team quit during the UNC game. And those aren’t my words, those are the words of freshman Marcus Delaney. In fact, here is his exact quote:
“We didn’t rebound at all,” Delaney said. “There [were] people standing around. … That’s … people quitting, when you quit on the offensive glass.”
So, the feud continues. I can’t wait to see what happens next week!
