Hello and welcome to the VTHokieFans.com blog. My name is Gary Cope and I am a Virginia Tech graduate and veteran sports journalist with a career spanning on-air work in television and radio, and as a writer, editor and columnist for a pair of newspapers.
VTHokieFans.com was established in 2005 to provide an up-to-date listing of Hokie-friendly bars and restaurants for Virginia Tech fans on the go. Currently, our list has more than 125 confirmed Hokie-friendly establishments. We also provided football game highlights, first through downloadable Quicktime movies and now through the magic of YouTube, we can make the clips available to virtually anyone with a computer and Internet connection.
VTHokieFans.com took a big step forward in November 2007 when we partnered with TechHoops.com, a Virginia Tech basketball fan site run by some fellow Hokie grads. We expect some big improvements to VTHokieFans.com in the months ahead, so stay tuned!
Finally, some legal stuff: This site is in no way affiliated with, or endorsed by Virginia Tech, the Atlantic Coast Conference or the NCAA…duh! This site offers free, independent coverage and resources of the Virginia Tech Hokies.
Gary;
Bill Foster was correct in disputing the inference that he used a “prevent defense”. He used the same defense he used against Syracuse. The “trick or treat defense”. Let’s hear it for another big game against a top ten team. Is the Liberty Bowl committee on the other line?
